The development of the imagery for this book cover took a lot of interesting turns. I physically put an axe through a door, applied the iconic number “217” on the front and carved out “REDRUM” to make it look like blood. The interactive cover uses an image of the Stanley Hotel to conceal what's happening on the inside.
